Our company's goal is to be "accident free" every day and to help accomplish this, Beard has implemented a Continuous Improvement Program with the following key initiatives:

• Weekly Tool Box Topics by all field employees
• Weekly site observation reviews by all field management
• Bi-monthly safety audits by Executive Management Team
• Bi-monthly safety committee meetings
• Quarterly safety training for all managers
• Implementation of Corporate Safety Recognition Program
• Empowering all employees to take a "proactive approach" to safety
• Developing and maintaining a pretask plan on each and every project

Beard's Director of Safety, Terry Moseley has developed a philosophy within the organization that begins with the following statement: "A strong safety performance goes hand-in-hand with an environment that embraces safety. The core of a sound safety program is one that is supported by rigorous assessment; constant communication & training, leading indicator and root cause analysis, consistency, and a level of dedication to its employees." This philosophy and dedication has proven to be a winning combination as Beard's current MOD rating is a .59 which is well below the industry average. Another leading indicator of the company's success is the fact that the company and its people have been "accident free" for almost two years.
